Rumors : Anonymous dietro il down di Xbox Live ( Aggiornato )
Nonostante non ci sia ancora nulla di confermato da parte di Microsoft , in rete è apparso oggi un comunicato ( anch’esso non ancora confermato e di fonte dubbia ) da parte del gruppo di Hacker “Anonymous” che spiegherebbe il perchè del fermo imposto su Xbox Live tra ieri ed oggi.
Chiunque abbia tentato di connettersi al network di Microsoft infatti si è ritrovato con una laconica schermata di errore , e l’impossibilità di accedere al proprio account dalla console. Non era stata programmata alcuna manutenzione , per questo le cose sono risultate sin da subito sospette. Solo nel pomeriggio di oggi è emersa una dichiarazione ( ancora da confermare ) del noto gruppo citato pocanzi, che spiega :
“Greetings citizens of the internet and gamers around the world, we are anonymous. we direct this message to the users of the gaming community x box lIvE, but more in particular those within the community who are using various methods to access customer accounts, distributing malware to unsuspecting gamers and defecting game play for the sole purpose of cheating on public game servers. a large amount of so called hackers have been using the x box live community as a base to selfishly and illegally extract money out of dedicated customers, with younger people and children being the main target. heavily advertised software such as aim bots and wall hacks for battlefield 3 or invisibility mode for Cod, are easy ways to tempt users into downloads, subscriptions and even handing over credit card details for payment, these tools and others similar, are nothing more than malicious software. it has also been reported that users are scamming gamers by pretending to be moderators from microsoft or indipendant internet authorities, these are other ways customers are getting tricked and more than likely the person behind the account is attempting to social engineer details and sensitive information. websites advertising that they exchange free microsoft points in return for filling in endless surveys should be avoided, as we can gaurentee that you wont be awarded any points but you will be putting your x box live account at risk. this is a growing problem within the x box community, yet the microsoft executives have done nothing to solve the problem or even attempt to increase the security measures for accounts. many members of anonymous are gamers who respect the conditions of gaming and find the use of hacking online gameplay or accounts completly unethical and counterproductive, we have therefor decided to target the x box live hackers and purportraitors themselves. if you are a hacker who thinks taking over someones account during modern warfare is leet, then we will show you the reality of cyber warfare. users of x box live who are involved in scams, hacking and malware distribution will be swiftly and systematically removed from the community. online gaming is an important social platform in all cultures across the world, a form of entertainment and communication, that should be safe for everyone. modders, trolls and, noobs are not, legitimate targets.

xbox live hackers, expect us “
In parole povere , non siamo al cospetto di un “Psn Gate 2 ” , ma di fronte ad un attacco ben mirato nei confronti di hacker e truffatori che ormai pullulano dentro, fuori, e attorno ad Xbox Live . Quindi sembra che l’obbiettivo di questo “down” da parte degli attivisti sia stato semplicemente ( per modo di dire ) atto a sollecitare Microsoft in merito al potenziamento della piattaforma contro simili personaggi , e ad un immediato potenziamento della sicurezza dello stesso network . Un semplice sovraccarico dunque, che non ha generato ( si spera ) alcun furto di dati sensibili.

Aggiornamento 15/04/2013 :
Microsoft si è finalmente espressa in merito al problema , dichiarando : “If you were one of the members who was having issues signing in to Xbox LIVE, good news! This issue has been fixed! Thank you so much for your patience during this time, feel free to go enjoy your favourite games and content!” .
Anche Sony minimizzava l’accaduto , tentando di nasconderlo alla propria utenza. Ma questa volta la smentita ufficiale è arrivata persino dal canale Twitter del gruppo di Hacker . Quindi ? Torniamo a giocare .
Un “PSN Gate 2 ” è stato MOMENTANEAMENTE evitato.
